Sept Tools

Professional mechanical concrete bush hammering

Sept Tools bush hammers for anti-slip, aesthetic and technical finishes on concrete floors and walls, without manual chiselling.

Bush hammering is a mechanical finishing technique that creates a controlled relief on the concrete surface. The desired effect can be aesthetic, anti-slip, or simply functional to increase the adhesion of a coating applied later. Performed manually, bush hammering is slow, loud and a major source of musculoskeletal disorders. Sept Tools offers a range of brushless mechanised bush hammers that industrialise this operation while delivering a consistency the human hand cannot achieve.

Méthode traditionnelle vs Sept Tools

Manual hammer bush hammering

  • 1 day for 50 m² with a hammer
  • Extreme vibration, wrist and elbow MSDs
  • Irregular grain, non-reproducible finish
  • Noise above 100 dB(A)
  • Uncontrolled depth, rebar risk

Sept Tools bush hammers

  • 2 h for the same 50 m² with Potam
  • 0.42 m/s² measured, full day with no risk
  • Calibrated homogeneous grain, reproducible finish
  • 60 dB(A): occupied site without nuisance
  • Controlled depth, rebar preserved

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Bush hammering versus shot blasting?

Bush hammering creates relief through localised mechanical impact. Shot blasting projects steel beads that open the surface more broadly. Bush hammering yields a more pronounced and reproducible relief.

How many plates are available?

Sept Tools offers two main plates: roller for moderate relief and wheel for pronounced relief. Other tooling is available on request for specific needs.

Does bush hammering damage rebar?

No. Bush hammering acts on the surface, on the first few millimetres of concrete. Reinforcement remains intact as long as the operator respects the recommended working depth.

How is a bush hammer cleaned?

The tool is IP65 sealed. Brush or low-pressure jet cleaning at end of shift is sufficient. Plates remove in one minute for thorough cleaning.

Does the machine work on vertical walls?

Yes. The Gazellomur Bouchardage is designed for vertical work on a gantry. For one-off areas, the Bouchardeuse Potam works freehand or with a Gecko balancer.
