Sept Tools

Overhead ceiling drilling without strain

Complete solutions for drilling and coring concrete ceilings without carrying, with Sept Tools lifting trolleys and exoskeletons.

Ceiling drilling combines every aggravating factor of construction work: working at height, tool weight held at arm's length, continuous vibration on the rotator cuff and direct dust falling on the operator. Yet every finishing project includes dozens, sometimes hundreds of ceiling anchors for suspended ceiling rails, cable trays and technical penetrations. Sept Tools has structured an industrial response to this problem by combining ultra-light brushless drills, Eland lifting trolleys and Scourpio exoskeletons to turn the chore into a precise repeatable motion.

Méthode traditionnelle vs Sept Tools

×

Manual ceiling drilling

  • Arms above shoulders: recognised strain
  • Useful shift 1 to 2 h, disabling cumulative fatigue
  • Dust directly on the face
  • Throughput drops, quality degrades by end of shift
  • Shoulder MSDs: 4 times more than floor work

Sept Tools Eland plus Scourpio

  • Zero felt weight, operator from the floor
  • Useful shift full day with no pain
  • IU33 source extraction: capture before fall
  • Stable pace, constant perpendicularity
  • Compliant with strain regulations, documented assessment
Why Sept Tools

French brushless engineering

Eland Ceiling Drilling trolley

Operator carries nothing. The trolley holds the drill at height, precise and reproducible motion.

Scourpio exoskeleton

Where the trolley cannot reach: arm weight transferred to the belt.

Load compensator

Drill in neutral position: perpendicularity constant from one hole to the next.

OSHA / HSE compliant

Strain documentation provided for risk assessment and labour inspection.

Our ceiling drilling method

  1. 1

    Setting out from the floor

Laser marking or chalk line: precise positioning before going up.

  2. 2

    Eland set-up

Trolley positioned under the zone, drill held at height, operator on the floor.

  3. 3

    Brushless drilling

Pic Epeiche guided by the compensator: perfect perpendicularity.

  4. 4

    Extraction capture

IU33 Longopac connected: fines captured before falling on the operator.

  5. 5

    Anchor installation

Chemical sealing in a clean ETA-compliant hole.

Use cases

For which job sites?

Raised arm strain

Le problème

Ceiling drilling: arm above the shoulders, classified physically demanding work.

Sept Tools

Eland or Scourpio: zero felt weight, precise motion with no shoulder pain.

Suspended ceiling anchors

Le problème

Hundreds of anchors for rails and rods: pace imposed on tertiary projects.

Sept Tools

Eland Ceiling Drilling: operator chains holes from the floor, no ladder.

Cable tray anchors

Le problème

Technical rooms and data centres: diameter accuracy required for resin.

Sept Tools

Brushless Pic Epeiche plus trolley: tolerance respected, certified anchoring.

Vertical technical penetrations

Le problème

Upper floors to drill for fluids: no wet diamond saw.

Sept Tools

Perimeter Gazelle: rectangular openings without slurry, without nuisance.

Safe working at height

Le problème

Scissor lift and scaffolding: slow pace, fall risk.

Sept Tools

Perc Height plus lift: workers' comp approved coupling for heights above 3.30 m.

Dust on operator

Le problème

Ceiling drilling: fines fall directly on the face and respiratory tract.

Sept Tools

IU33 source extraction: capture before fall, silica compliance.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Why is ceiling drilling rated as physically demanding?

The arm held above shoulder line is subject to a specific strain rating under the French strain decree. Beyond one cumulated hour per day, the employer must implement prevention measures.

Is the Eland trolley compatible with a lift?

Yes. The trolley can be moved on a scissor lift platform. For heights above 3.30 m, the Perc Height combined with a lift is our standard solution.

Can prestressed concrete be drilled?

Yes, provided prestressed reinforcement is located by prior radar scanning. Sept Tools provides documentation on no-go zones and concrete analysis procedures.

What is the optimal site organization?

One operator on the Eland trolley, a second preparing anchors and applying chemical sealing. This split doubles the throughput and reduces accumulated fatigue.

Do you have project references?

Yes. Several major French construction operators use our range on logistics, tertiary and infrastructure projects. References on request after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
