Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our brushless tools, services and support.

1 Products and Technology

What is a brushless motor and why does it matter on a construction site?
A brushless motor eliminates the internal mechanical friction found in traditional brushed motors. The result: less heat, less wear, more torque and a service life multiplied by ten. On site, that means fewer breakdowns, less maintenance and consistent productivity all day long.
What noise level can I expect from Sept Tools machines?
Our machines operate at 60 dB, equivalent to a normal conversation. That is 10 to 15 dB less than comparable brushed tools, allowing operators to work without mandatory hearing protection and reducing fatigue.
What does IP65 mean for a construction tool?
The IP65 rating guarantees full protection against dust ingress (6) and low-pressure water jets (5). In practice, our machines are built to perform in the harshest environments: concrete dust, water spray and adverse weather.
How long does a brushless motor last compared to a brushed motor?
Our brushless motors last approximately 10 times longer than an equivalent brushed motor. The reason: no physical contact between moving parts eliminates carbon brush wear, which is the number one cause of failure in traditional tools.
Are your machines manufactured in France?
Yes, entirely. Design, R&D, prototyping, assembly and quality control all take place in our factory in Roanne, Loire. We do not relabel any product: every machine is designed and built by our teams.
What surfaces can your tools handle?
Our range covers wall, ceiling and floor grinding (concrete, plaster, resin, marble), grooving (concrete, asphalt), planing (concrete, render), drilling (reinforced concrete), bush hammering and source dust extraction. Each tool is optimised for specific materials.

2 Orders and Quotes

How do I get a quote?
Fill in the form on our contact page or use the online configurator. Our sales team will respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote tailored to your fleet and requirements.
Do you sell online?
No. Sept Tools is a B2B manufacturer: we sell exclusively on quote, after assessing your needs. This approach ensures we recommend the exact configuration suited to your sites and materials.
What is the delivery lead time?
The standard lead time is 5 to 10 working days from our factory in Roanne. For complex or high-volume orders, a personalised delivery schedule is agreed with your account manager.
Do you offer rental?
We do not offer rental, but we arrange on-site demonstrations so you can test our machines in real conditions, with your materials and your crews, before making a purchase decision.
Do you have a distributor network?
Yes, we work with 24 distributors across Europe. Contact us to find the distributor nearest to you.

3 After-Sales and Warranty

What warranty do your machines come with?
All our machines carry a 2-year warranty covering parts and labour. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions under normal operating conditions.
How do I contact after-sales support?
Visit our after-sales page (/en/after-sales) to submit a request. Our technical team diagnoses the issue and responds within 48 hours with a solution: repair, part replacement or workshop return.
Are spare parts available?
Yes. We maintain permanent spare parts stock at our Roanne factory. Common parts ship within 24 to 48 hours. Our commitment: repair rather than replace.
Do you offer operator training?
Yes, we provide operator training on site or at our workshop in Roanne. Training covers machine handling, routine maintenance and best practices to maximise equipment lifespan.

4 Ergonomics and Compliance

What is the silica dust regulation and how do your machines help with compliance?
The silica dust regulation sets the Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) at 0.1 mg/m3 of crystalline silica. Our machines integrate source capture with HEPA H13 filtration, enabling compliant work without additional external extraction systems.
What is the vibration level of your machines?
Our machines produce 0.35 m/s2, which is 14 times below the regulatory threshold of 5 m/s2 and well under the action value of 2.5 m/s2. This eliminates the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) from vibration, even over full working days.
Do your solutions reduce MSDs?
Yes, this is a core design principle. Our gantries, load compensators and balancers absorb the weight of the machine. The operator guides the tool without carrying it. Combined with low vibration (0.35 m/s2), this dramatically reduces MSD risk.
Is the ergonomics configurator free?
Yes, our online configurator is completely free and accessible at /en/configurator. It guides you through 4 steps to identify the optimal configuration based on your materials, surfaces and regulatory constraints.

5 Demonstrations and Support

Can I test a machine on my job site?
Yes. We arrange on-site demonstrations throughout France and Europe. Our team brings the equipment suited to your materials and shows you the results in real conditions, with your crews.
Do you offer a guide to choosing the right equipment?
Yes, our free guide "5 mistakes that shorten your sander lifespan" is downloadable from our website. It covers the essential criteria for choosing and maintaining your brushless equipment.
How does the online configurator work?
The configurator guides you in 4 steps: (1) select your trade, (2) choose the surfaces to treat, (3) indicate your constraints (ergonomics, noise, dust), (4) receive a personalised recommendation with the right machines and consumables.
