Sept Tools

Ceiling grinding without operator strain

Complete solutions for ceiling grinding: lifting trolleys, brushless grinders and exoskeletons that eliminate the strain of overhead work.

Grinding a ceiling remains one of the most physically demanding tasks in construction finishing. Outstretched arms, tool weight, falling dust and accumulated vibration cause chronic musculoskeletal disorders among operators. Sept Tools has made ceiling grinding its core area of expertise by developing a complete range that combines ultra-light brushless grinders, lifting trolleys and adaptable exoskeletons. The objective is simple: enable an operator to complete a full shift without pain or sick leave.

Méthode traditionnelle vs Sept Tools

×

Manual pole grinding

  • 2 to 3 m²/h of ceiling prepared
  • Outstretched arms, shoulder pain in 2 h
  • Vibration above 5 m/s²
  • Dust falling on the operator
  • Sessions limited to 90 min in PPE

Sept Tools ceiling chain

  • 7 to 12 m²/h with a single operator
  • Muscular load divided by 5 (RULA)
  • Vibration 0.35 m/s² (14x below threshold)
  • HEPA H13 source capture
  • 4 to 6 h sessions in full PPE possible
Why Sept Tools

French brushless engineering

Ergonomics first

Eland Grinding Arm and Gazelle trolley: the operator no longer carries anything, only guides.

Brushless 1600 W

Constant torque, zero loss under load, x10 service life with no internal wear parts.

Source extraction

IU33 Longopac H13 captured directly at the pad, zero falling dust on the operator.

Safe overhead working

Eland trolleys up to 3.80 m. Compliant with workers' comp fall prevention guidance.

Use cases

For which job sites?

Ceiling strain

Le problème

Outstretched arms 5 h overhead: shoulder energy load equivalent to a 30-minute sprint.

Sept Tools

Eland Grinding Arm and Gazelle fully eliminate muscular load.

Car park productivity

Le problème

Several thousand m² of ceilings on car park or tunnel renovation projects.

Sept Tools

7 to 12 m²/h with a single operator, productivity x4 versus manual work.

Occupied building

Le problème

Operating car parks, offices, residential blocks: zero acoustic or dust nuisance allowed.

Sept Tools

Brushless 60 dB(A) and HEPA H13: permanent cohabitation with users.

Concrete ceiling cohesion

Le problème

Underside preparation before paint, suspended ceiling or carbon bonding.

Sept Tools

Diamond pad plus variable speed to reach the exact required profile.

Ceiling asbestos abatement

Le problème

Long sessions in full PPE, 10 Pa containment, mandatory source capture.

Sept Tools

Fouine plus class H IU33 Longopac plus Mygale: 4 to 6 h sessions versus 90 min unassisted.

Tunnel and gallery

Le problème

Surface prep of voussoir concrete before waterproof or anti-graffiti coating on infrastructure.

Sept Tools

Fouine 3.9 kg plus Gazelle: covers all road and rail tunnel profiles.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Why is ceiling grinding so demanding?

Working with raised arms continuously stresses the rotator cuff, trapezius and neck. Add the cumulative weight of the grinder and the vibration. Without an ergonomic solution, useful shift duration drops below two hours per operator.

What does the Gazelle Premium trolley change?

The trolley fully carries the machine. The operator only handles guidance. A two-hour shift becomes a full pain-free working day. The investment is recovered in just a few projects.

Is the equipment compatible with asbestos work?

Yes. Our grinders operate in asbestos zones with a class H vacuum and standard wetting protocols. The IP65 brushless motor withstands high-pressure cleaning between operations.

How long does a diamond pad last?

On raw concrete, expect 200 to 400 m² depending on grit and substrate hardness. Our pads are calibrated to the range and always in stock in Roanne.

Do you provide training?

Yes. Every system delivery includes free on-site or video training. We also train your operators on first-line maintenance to limit downtime.
