The decorative diamond pad is the par excellence finishing tool for polished concrete floors, wax concretes and decorative interior surfaces. Where metal plates open and prepare the substrate, resin pads progressively refine the material until a mirror brightness is achieved. Sept Tools offers a complete range of grits 50 to 3000 to follow a consistent polishing sequence, from intermediate abrasion to final gloss. These consumables are essential for high-end decorative concrete sites.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Which grit sequence for a polished floor?

Typically 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 then 1500. For a mirror finish, end with 3000. A lithium hardening step can be inserted in between.

Dry or wet work?

Dry on occupied sites with extraction, wet to optimise the final brightness. Wet work slightly extends pad life.

Compatible with a lithium hardener?

Yes, and even recommended between 200 and 400 grit to densify the substrate and improve final brightness.

How many m² per pad?

200 to 600 m² depending on grit, pressure and dry or wet usage. Fine grits (1500, 3000) generally last longer than first grits.
