Diamond plates

Diamond plate for extra-hard concrete

The reference for technical concretes above 45 MPa and ultra-high performance fibre concretes.

Request a quote

Extra-hard concretes (UHPFRC, technical concretes, hardened industrial floorings) far exceed the capabilities of a standard plate. On these substrates, only a specific formulation maintains an acceptable cutting speed without premature glazing. The Sept Tools extra-hard concrete diamond plate combines an ultra-soft bond, maximum diamond concentration and an optimised segment geometry for the heat of attack. It is the essential tool for sites where performance is non-negotiable.

Technical specifications

Specifications and manufacturing

Ultra-soft metal bond, maximum diamond concentration (well above standard references). Open segment geometry to evacuate the heat from intense abrasion. Reinforced steel body to absorb vibrations. Mostly grits 16 and 30, sometimes 60 for finishing. Perfect compatibility with the most powerful Sept Tools brushless grinders. H-class extraction recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Why a specific plate for extra-hard concretes?

Above 45 MPa, a standard plate glazes within minutes and stops cutting. An ultra-soft formulation is required to maintain self-sharpening.

What machine power is needed?

We recommend our most powerful models (Gazellomur, Fouine, Mygale) to fully exploit this type of plate.

Is productivity still acceptable?

On extra-hard concrete, expect 30 to 50% less area per plate than standard usage, but with effective work where other plates would not bite.

Is grit 60 available?

Yes on order. This finish is not always required since the move to resin often happens from grit 30 on these substrates.
