Sept Tools

Mechanised concrete wall bush hammering

Two brushless solutions for wall bush hammering: Mygale gantry set paired with the Petit Potam, or Gazellomur 3-in-1 combo with natively built-in strain relief and multiplied productivity.

Wall bush hammering is the most punishing finishing operation in second-fix work when carried out by hand. Bush hammer in hand, arms raised, vibrations accumulated over several hours: the result is irregular and the operator builds up chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Sept Tools offers two brushless mechanised solutions that industrialise this operation. The Mygale gantry set paired with the Petit Potam covers standard sites. The Gazellomur 3-in-1 combo goes further with productivity 4 to 6 times higher thanks to its natively built-in strain relief.

Manual bush hammer

  • Manual bush hammering: irregular grain along the run
  • Extreme vibration, shoulder and wrist MSDs
  • Noise above 100 dB(A) on occupied site
  • Uncontrolled depth, rebar risk
  • 1 day for 50 m² with the hammer

Sept Tools Gazellomur Bouchardage

  • Homogeneous architectural CSP 5-7 grain
  • 0.42 m/s² measured, native strain relief
  • 60 dB(A): occupied site without nuisance
  • Controlled depth, rebar preserved
  • 42 to 63 m²/h on concrete with Gazellomur

Challenges and solutions

Technical challenges and answers

Irregular grain by hand

Le problème

Manual bush hammer: visible irregular grain on facade, unacceptable aesthetic defect.

Sept Tools

Gazellomur 1600 W: homogeneous reproducible grain across long runs.

Vertical CSP profile insufficient

Le problème

Tunnel resin without CSP 5-7: delamination within 24 months, rework at contractor expense.

Sept Tools

Mechanised bush hammering: reproducible CSP profile, verifiable by roughness gauge.

Glued PRM bands failing

Le problème

Adhesive tactile wall bands: peeled off within 18 months, accessibility non-compliance.

Sept Tools

Bush hammering integrated into concrete IP65: service life matching the substrate.

Manual wall bush hammer RSI

Le problème

Raised arms plus 15 m/s² hammer vibration: shoulder RSI in series, 60-day average absence.

Sept Tools

Gazellomur built-in gantry: 0.42 m/s², zero felt weight.

Vertical silica unextracted

Le problème

Wall bush hammering without extraction: 500x OEL, unlawful on occupied site.

Sept Tools

IU33 Longopac class H HEPA H13 connected: vertical source capture.

Triple fleet not viable

Le problème

Grinding + bush hammering + planing: three machines, tripled tied capital.

Sept Tools

Gazellomur 3-in-1 combo: x14+ lifespan, payback divided by 3.

Use cases

For which job sites?

Architectural facade finishes

Decorative bush hammering to expose aggregates and create a natural stone effect on outdoor walls and concrete facades. A finish sought in high-end contemporary architecture.

Vertical resin adhesion

Creation of a CSP 5 to 7 mechanical profile to guarantee the adhesion of a protection or waterproofing resin applied vertically. Essential in tunnels and civil engineering structures.

Accessibility wall bands

Tactile wall marking for visual cues and accessibility in public buildings. A durable solution integrated into the concrete, compliant with accessibility standards.

Technical paint preparation

Bush-hammered profile for optimal adhesion of intumescent or anti-graffiti technical paints. Superior durability versus simple grinding.

Real-world conditions

Bush hammering of bridge concrete

Bush hammering of bridge concrete, operator on lift, fall-arrest harness.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

What is the difference between the wall set and the Gazellomur for bush hammering?

The wall set (Mygale gantry + Petit Potam) covers standard sites at 7 to 10 m²/h. The Gazellomur 3-in-1 combo reaches 42 to 63 m²/h on concrete thanks to its built-in power density and its native strain relief.

Why is the Gazellomur 4 to 6 times more productive?

The Gazellomur natively integrates the strain-relief gantry within its mechanical architecture. The operator does not have to carry the machine, the load transfer to the gantry is total. Coupled with the brushless 1600 W constant torque, the steady feed lets the pace be sustained without fatigue.

Does wall bush hammering damage the rebar?

No. Bush hammering acts on the surface, on the first few millimetres of concrete. Reinforcement remains intact as long as the operator respects the working depth recommended by the machine.

How is the Gazellomur Bouchardage cleaned?

The tool is IP65 sealed. Brush or low-pressure jet cleaning at end of shift is sufficient. Plates remove in one minute for thorough cleaning after long runs.

Can grinding and bush hammering be chained on the same job?

Yes, the Gazellomur is a 3-in-1 combo (grinding, bush hammering, planing). The operator changes the drum in less than two minutes without changing machine. Time savings and logistics simplification on multi-purpose sites.
