Crab + support construction ergonomics, less physical strain
Registered designThe Crab + support is a scissor lift platform support designed to sand ceilings and walls at height without strain. It attaches to the platform guardrail and carries the Fouine XB165 sander, sold separately, at the end of a sanding arm: the operator only guides the arm. The arm swings through 90° from ceiling to wall, with no dismantling and no tool change. It is not a sander but a carrier accessory, to be used with dust extraction (the IU33 Longopac vacuum is recommended).

It carries the machine and its weight instead of the operator (trolley, arm or gantry) to reduce fatigue and the physical strain of the task. It is a passive, non-motorised accessory.
Which machines does it fit?
It is designed to hold our grinding, drilling or planing machines depending on the model. The drive stays that of the machine it carries; the accessory adds no motor of its own.
Does it really reduce strain?
By shifting the weight and effort onto the equipment rather than the operator, it aims to reduce physical strain. The effect of the accessory on transmitted vibration has not been measured: the declared value remains the one in the manual of the machine it carries.
What is the delivery lead time for Crab + support?
We confirm the dispatch lead time with your quote within one working day: it depends on the model and workshop availability.
Why is the price on request?
Because a machine alone is not a workstation: the price depends on the configuration, the trolley or gantry, the extraction unit and the consumables matched to your substrate. A headline price would have you compare setups that are not comparable. Our machines do cost more to buy than an entry-level brushed machine, and we own that: the maths works over service life, not over the ticket. You are free to ask for a quote just to compare, with no sales follow-up if you do not take it further.
What warranty and after-sales come with Crab + support?
Sept Tools machines carry a 24-month warranty, parts and labour. A tool from another manufacturer supplied with a set remains covered by its own manufacturer's warranty. After-sales is handled in our Roanne workshop, with a diagnostic reply within 48 business hours, no call centre.
