Fine binder and resin pads for grinding and polishing hard natural stones.

Request a quote

Marble and granite are natural stones whose grinding and polishing demand specific consumables, halfway between hard concrete plates and decorative finishing pads. The Sept Tools diamond plate for marble and granite combines a fine metal-resin binder suited to the variable hardness of these materials and a complete grit sequence, from rough grinding to final gloss. It is the tool of marble craftsmen, heritage restorers and companies specialising in natural stone floor refurbishment, indoors as well as sheltered outdoor areas. Polishing is the dominant use at Sept Tools: the full sequence of diamond pads in grits 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000 takes you from rough grinding to mirror gloss with the same brushless grinders (Petit Potam, Tapir, Fouine XB165, Gazellomur).

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Which sequence for a bright marble floor?

Typically 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 then 3000 resin pad. A crystallisation step can be inserted between 800 and 1500 to densify the marble.

Dry or wet work?

Water optimises the finish and extends plate life. Dry work on occupied sites with class H extraction if water is not feasible.

Compatible with very hard granite?

Yes, the metal-resin binder is designed for this hardness range. For very abrasive granites, plan a slightly reduced work pace.

Suitable for soft limestones?

For soft stones such as Bourgogne or Comblanchien limestone, a soft concrete plate may be more appropriate. Our team will guide you by the specific material.
